BOOK REVIEW: Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens

  BOOK REVIEW:

Let me start by saying, I could not put this book down. I had no idea what this book was about, so I went into it fully unaware of what I was getting into. This is the way I like to start every book I read because it makes me feel less disappointed if there's no expectations. Anyways, the plot twists and love stories made me even more invested, and I recommend it to everyone I know.

First off, I have never disliked a character more than I have disliked Chase Andrews. He is the definition of betrayal. Butttt, I will say, I'm not sure how much better Tate is. He sort of redeemed himself at the end when he actually started caring about Kya again, I just wish he realized how much he cared about her BEFORE he abandoned her like the rest of her family did. This book made me hate and love men at the same time. Kya's character development was incredible to witness and I felt like I was physically with her through every part of the novel. By the end of the book, I felt so connected to Kya that I absolutely sobbed when she passed away.

Overall, I believe every person needs to read this book. Go add it to your booklist right now. Matter of fact- put it at the top. This book will make you never take anything for granted ever again. I enjoyed every minute of this read a growing up with Kya.

Rating: 5/5

P.S.- Rarely do I give books a 5/5 because I get bored SO easily.
