BOOK REVIEW: It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover
BOOK REVIEW:
I did like this book. I really did. However, I was not in love with it. I hated the fact that he abused her. It pissed me off. It did. and I know it's part of the story but it was so dang depressing. However, I did love how Colleen Hoover made a book where the main character left her husband because she knew she deserved better. The way that Lily broke the cycle for her family was amazing and I'm glad the ending was the way that it was.
My favorite part of the book is when her sister-in-law says to her "If you don't leave him then I will never talk to you again". I feel like Colleen brings up such a good point about abuse and how the abuser always claims it's a one-time thing. I admire her a lot for writing about that. Her character really went through a lot just to find safety and escape that a-hole. It was really cool to feel part of their story and to see a glimpse of how their life went from complete bliss to horror.
This book should definitely be ready by everyone. The cheesiness, at times, can be a litte much for me, however that does not mean its not a good book. Give her a read! Its a quick one, as all her books are.
