BOOK REVIEW: The Quiet Tenant

The Quiet Tenant: A Novel [Book]

Let me start by saying this was my book clubs pick for this month. I went into this thinking I was reading a romance, and quickly realized that was not the case.

This book was so great. It was one of my first thrillers and I could not put it down. I was so mad because she had so many chances to escape and didn't. I wanted her to run free or utilize his daughter or Emily as a way to escape. I was confused why he did not hurt his daughter or mom, and wish the author went into more detail about why that was. I also wished we heard from his perspective once to understand his reasoning behind the killings.

While the ending was not what I wanted, I was devouring the last few chapters. I brought it with me to read while on my lunch break and even read in the bathroom, That is how good this book is. I would definitely read more of her books. My only cons -- the ending was sort of anti climactic. It was not what I envisioned. Also, it was a tad confusing at times with the different POV's. Nonetheless, I absolutely loved this book.
